It allows us to speak from a place of authenticity in the things we create and leave behind for generations. The evolution of White Rice was inspired from childhood memories, grounded in identity and now maturity of time. The new menu will contain an ensentric view of that growth.

Phillip Esteban
Phillip Esteban is an award winning chef who was born and raised in National City. He has traveled the world to hone his culinary art form. Through his travels he was exposed to the power of hospitality to act as a platform for community and a vehicle for storytelling. Once he returned to San Diego he saw an opportunity to marry his broad experience and draw from the memories, the flavors, the colors and the diversity of Filipino food to explore his own story.
White Rice is the first chapter of this story. One that starts with the everyday meals of his childhood.
